Jamal Mabrouk, a member of the February 17th Brigade, told CNN that he and a battalion commander had a meeting about the economy and security. Mwenyekiti wa chama hicho, Freeman Mbowe, aliwambia waandishi wa habari jana mjini Dar es Salaam kuwa, maandamano hayo yatakuwa makubwa na yataingia katika kumbukumbu za nchi hii.  Kwa mujibu wa Mbowe, maandamano hayo ambayo yatafanyika wakati wowote, yanalenga kuwashinikiza baadhi ya viongozi wajiuzulu kwa kile kinachoelezwa kuwa, wameshindwa kutimiza wajibu wao. Maandamano ya Waandishi wa Habari Tanzania WAZIRI NCHIMBI ATIMULIWA NA WAANDISHI WA HABARI WAZIRI wa Mambo ya Ndani, Emmanuel Nchimbi, amekumbana na fadhaa ambayo haikutarajia wakati alipotimuliwa katika maandamano ya waandishi wa habari ya kupinga mauaji ya mwandishi mwenzao wa kituo cha televisheni cha Channel Ten, David Mwangosi, wakati alipozuka bila mwaliko. Huku wakiwa wamebeba mabango yenye ujumbe tofauti, waandishi waliandamana kuanzia kwenye ofisi za Channel Ten katikati ya jiji la Dar es Salaam na kutembea hadi katika viwanja vya Jangawani lakini walipofika mwisho wa maandamano yao walipigwa na butwaa baada ya kumkuta Waziri Nchimbi akiwa wa kwanza kufika katika eneo hilo tayari kupokea maandamano. Wakati Nchimbi akijiandaa kuanza kuzungumza mbele ya wanahabari, upinzani mkali ukazuka kwa waandishi dhidi ya kiongozi huyo wa serikali wakitaka aondoke mahala hapo kwani maandamano hayo yalikuwa hayamuhusu.
